Currently, there are no other plugins or addons for those kinds of features. No one else has really taken interest in working on their own addons/plugins for rMod so I haven't put much of my time into it since it's a side project that generates no income. Easiest way to install things is to use the updater from here:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22

Place this in the same folder as the main rMod exe and dll. And it can be used to install the known addons and keep rMod up to date.

You can use a newer / better editor such as Notepad++ or VSCode etc. to edit the files. I don't recommend modding with things like plain Notepad.

For your lua_pushcclosure, an easy way to find it is to locate lua_setfield via referencing the normal Lua 5.1 code base. You can find several strings that will align to it.
